Hey I’m Will, a UX Designer from Melbourne
It was at the age of 14 in the corner of the nondescript school library, when a school-mate handed me a USB key with a rudimentary HTML file on it, that a new world was unlocked. Since then I’ve spent hours hunched in front of the glowing light of a computer screen typing colourful code and pushing pixels around, building websites, apps and games.

My Design Principles
- Keep it Simple
- Design with purpose
- Don’t Reinvent the Wheel
- Functionality over Trends
- Focus on People
- Always be learning and adapting
My whole life revolves around creating, learning, problem-solving and being curious, so you’ll often find me doing one of the following
Scouts
I spent over 20 years in Scouting, both as a youth member and volunteer. Amongst other things, I learnt leadership skills, but I still can’t sew badges onto shirts.
Squash
I’ve played Squash since I was 15, including coaching for a couple of years. I once won $300 for finishing runner-up at a tournament, so I’m basically an ex-professional 😛
Podcasts
I listen to a range of podcasts and despite my ever-growing list, am always looking for recommendations.
Camping / Hiking / Travel
I’m often out exploring somewhere new, even if it’s just for half a day. In 2017 I travelled for 6-weeks in Cuba, Panama and Chile with only a carry-on bag, which was the best decision.
Hosting Travellers
Before COVID shut me down, I was sharing my spare bedroom on Airbnb. I’ve had guests from 6 continents and 28 countries.
Experiments / Projects
Scratching pencil on paper, drilling holes in walls, or covered in oil, I’m always experimenting with creating, fixing and often breaking things.
